Obituary for David Francis Minor

THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DAVID MINOR

DEVOTED TO HIS WIFE AND FAMILY

WATERBURY – David Francis Minor age 81 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. He was the husband of Carrie (Esteves) Minor.

David was born October 2, 1938 in Waterbury CT, the son of the late John and Lena (Deluca) Minor. He was a very loving and devoted husband to his wife Carrie to whom he was married to for 44 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed golf and traveling to numerous islands with his wife. They loved watching movies and playing with the iPad on the deck in the summertime. He enjoyed dinners with his sister, Victoria and her husband. David always looked forward to visits with his brother, Richard. He was proud of his 11 years in the U.S. Air Force and was very patriotic. After his time in the Air Force, David worked for Pratt & Whitney before retiring. David was always happiest while spending time with his family and always looked forward to quality family time. He was a man who sacrificed his own needs for the sake of others, and inspired goodness and love for everyone.

Left to cherish his memory and honor David’s love and legacy, besides his wife are his two daughters, Tammy Carissimi and her husband, Bob of Watertown, and Eveline Horton and her husband, Don of Plantation, Fl, his three sons, Michael Teixeira and his wife. Carol of North Haven, CT, Joe Minor and his wife. Annie of Waterbury CT, and Arnold Minor of Upper Darby, PA. He also leaves behind his sister, Victoria Salvatore and her husband, Bill of Watertown, CT and his brother, Richard Minor of Hudson Falls NY. David and Carrie were blessed with 10 grandchildren, Heather Errichetti (Dan), Jill Clarke (Chris), Katilyn Minor, Alexis Teixeira, Emily Smythe, David Smythe, Alex Minor, Eric Minor, Jon Minor, and Amanda Minor, and also three great grandchildren, Logan Errichetti, Josilyn Ryan and Jeremy Clarke.
