Obituary for Florence Louise Lucchetti (Spino)

THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FLORENCE LUCCHETTI

OAKVILLE - Florence Louise Spino Lucchetti, age 100 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Friday August 13, 2021 at the Apple Health and Rehab Center in Watertown. She was the widow of Amato Lucchetti

Florence was born on February 8, 1921 in Oakville CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Christine (Nardchone) Spino. She was educated in local schools and began her working career which spanned decades, in 1941 at Waterbury Hospital in the dietary department. She then went on to work at Scovill Mfg, Timex, Town of Watertown Police Dept and Education Depts, and retired after working at both Colonial and Mattatuck Banks. In retirement she volunteered with Rev John Szantyr visiting churches, nursing homes, shut-ins, and even prisons bringing the world of music and friendship to many. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church where she was very active in many parish functions including a CCD Instructor and a member of the infamous “Turtle Club”

Left to cherish her memory and honor her 100 year legacy are her daughter, Irene L. Ouellette of Oakville, her grandson, George M. Ouellette of Cheshire and her great grandson, Andy Ouellette as well as her lifelong friend; Tracey Magill of Los Angeles CA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucchetti will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church 16 Buckingham St Oakville. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery. We remain concerned about the pandemic, consequently masks will be required at all times while indoors. Memories last only if you share them, so you are encouraged to leave a condolence, words of comfort or personal memory with the family on Florence’s tribute page at www.oneillfuneralhome.com.
