Obituary for Johnvincent Peter Karalius

THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF JOHNVINCENT KARALIUS

OAKVILLE – Johnvincent Karalius, age 91 of Oakville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 1, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital.
Jac was born on July 5, 1928 in New Britain CT, the son of the late Zigmas and Julia (Wendrowski) Karalius. Jac proudly served his country in the U. S. Army as a member of the “greatest generation”. He worked for many years as an Assembler in the Bristol Co. Jac was widely known in the area as “Jac the walker”, as he never drove a car. He walked to and from work, every day and was a fixture on Main St walking daily. Besides enjoying cooking and calligraphy, he was also known to be cantankerous in his own special way and he will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy are his children, his son, Eric Karalius, his daughters; Kathryn Karalius and Lisa Dingle and her husband, Kevin. He also leaves his sister, Louise Falcone and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his children Kristen Fay Karalius, Juliana Rose Karalius, and William Paul Karalius, and was predeceased by his grandsons, Eric Karalius and Connor Lacy and his sister, Alena Kleban.
Funeral services for Mr. Karalius will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 16 Buckingham St Oakville at 9:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Full Military honors for Mr Karalius will be afforded, following the Mass. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown CT.
