Obituary for Josephine Fenn (Hannifin)

THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF JOSEPHINE FENN.

Blessed with a long life and loving family

OAKVILLE - Josephine (Hannifin) Fenn, age 102, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Thomas Fenn.

Josephine was born on February 28, 1920, in Naugatuck, the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary (Broder) Hannifin. She attended local schools and then went on to work at Uniroyal Footwear Division in Naugatuck. She then met her husband Thomas Fenn with whom she was happily married for 50 years. Josephine and Thomas moved to Oakville where she lived up until 2018 when she went to live with her daughter and son in law in Glastonbury. Josephine loved to be around her family and friends, was a true giver, who just enjoyed helping people. She lived her life to the fullest, all 102 years, blessed with her family, friends and faith. She loved to have a good time, singing and dancing but what was most important to Josephine was the love she shared with her 3 great grandsons.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories is her daughter, Joanne (Lewis) Middleton, grandchildren, Matthew Middleton, and Elizabeth (David) Gellerman, 3 great grandsons; Tyler, Zachary, and Cole. She also leaves a very special godson, Richard Sugden, along with many nieces and nephews of the Fenn family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Richard Hannifin.
