WATERTOWN – Ruth J. (Smith) Labeck, age 91 of Watertown, after several months of declining health, passed away on May 3, 2022 at the River Glen Health Care Center, in the presence of her loving family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 63 years, Joseph M. Labeck, Sr.

Ruth was born on October 16, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Bernard and Nora (Daley) Smith. Her love for her family, friends, and God were boundless. She was a strongly independent woman with a keen wit who lived a faith filled life with tremendous compassion for others. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
